Nstand points a camera at you, which makes this a document worth reading rather than one worth having. Everything below follows from one rule: no video is ever uploaded, with or without an account.
What stays on this device
Your history — a handful of numbers per hold — lives in this browser. So do your recorded landmark tracks: twelve joint positions, thirty times a second, which is the most detailed thing the app holds and the reason they are never synced anywhere. The Progress screen has a switch that turns them off and deletes what is already there.
The camera
Frames go to the pose detector on this device and are thrown away as fast as the browser decodes them. The facial keypoints the detector produces are dropped before anything can store them. A video of your session is made only if you asked for one, is held in memory until you save it or leave, and is never uploaded: there is no route on our server that would take one.
If you make an account
We store your email address, your display name, your language, your height if you gave one, and the same handful of numbers per session that were already on this device, so your history survives a lost phone. Nothing else. Deleting your account really deletes it: sessions, levels and sign-in tokens all go with it.
Analytics, only if you say yes
With your consent, Nstand uses Google Analytics to count which pages get opened. You are asked before anything loads: say no, or say nothing at all, and no Google script runs, no cookie is set and no request leaves for another server.
If you say yes, what is sent is the page path, plus the address and browser details that any web request carries. Never the query string, which can hold a password-reset link, and never a score, a hold, a video or a landmark. Advertising and personalisation are switched off, so nothing here feeds an ad profile. Google processes it on our behalf and may do so outside the EU under its own standard contractual clauses. Your answer is kept for six months, and changing it to no stops the sending immediately and deletes the cookies.
Nothing is being counted. No Google script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set.
Your rights
Analytics rests on your consent alone, and you can withdraw it here or on your profile at any time. An account exists because you asked for one: the app shows you everything in it, your name and language are changed on the Profile screen, and one button deletes the lot. You can also ask us for a copy or for erasure, and complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Asking us something
Nstand is a small personal project rather than a company. The report form in the app reaches the person who keeps it running, and attaches which build and which screen you were on. Nothing else.
