Handstand timer: a free interval timer for holds and rest

Set a preparation countdown, how long each hold should last, how long to rest and how many rounds, then prop your phone where you can see it. The timer shows each phase in large type and can sound every change. It runs in the browser with no account and no camera, and once the app has been opened it works offline.

Work time is what you set on the timer, not a measured handstand hold.
This browser cannot play sound. Every change still shows on the screen.

How to use it

Prop the phone against a wall or a bag where you can see it from your hands — the countdown is large for that reason. Tap Turn on sound if you want to hear each change: a rising chime when work starts, a falling one for rest, and short ticks for the last three seconds before each round. Browsers only play sound after a tap, and a phone on silent may stay quiet, so the screen always shows the phase too.
Where the browser supports it, the screen is kept awake while the timer runs. If you switch apps or lock the phone, the timer pauses rather than carrying on silently in the background, and tells you so when you come back. Nothing you do here is saved, and nothing is sent anywhere.

What the example is, and is not

The example — 10 s to get ready, then 5 rounds of 30 s work and 1:00 rest — is a round set of numbers to start from, not a recommended dose. The right work time depends on what you are practising and on you: a chest-to-wall hold, a wall walk and a freestanding attempt are different things. Change any number, and only practise movements you already know how to get in and out of safely.
The work time is the time you set, not the time you held. The timer cannot see you, so a round that runs 30 seconds says nothing about whether your handstand lasted 30 seconds, and finishing a routine changes nothing about your level in the app.

Sharing a routine

The link carries only the four numbers — preparation, work, rest and rounds — so a coach or training partner can open the same routine on their own phone. It holds no name, no result and no video.

Check what actually happened

A timer counts; it does not measure. To see how long a hold actually lasted and whether the line was straight, film one side-on — Nstand reads it on the device, with no account needed.

Nstand is not your coach

It is a camera and some geometry. It does not replace a coach, a gym or an academy, it cannot see your wrists, your history or what you are about to land on, and it is wrong sometimes. Handstands can injure you. What you do on your hands is your decision and your risk: warm up, train where a fall is safe, and stop when something hurts.
